Thrumbelina is a grown-up woman who, having spent 26 years in Seattle making a living as a code slinger, has now retired and moved across the country to western North Carolina among the Blue Ridge Mountains.  Eventually her home will be put into order and she will be able to set up all of her floor looms, which include rug looms, a drawloom, countermarch and jack looms.
